“Beware! Abstain from angering the parents. The fragrance of Paradise is perceived even at a distance of a thousand years, but those who are disobedient to parents and those who cut off ties with relatives will not be able to smell it.”

Re: Hadith-a-day
Imam Amir ul Mu'mineen Ali [as] told Imam Hassan [as]: "Shall I teach you four traits by which you will be in no need of any medical treatment?"
"Yes," Imam Hassan answered. Then, Ali [as] said:
1.Do not sit for food (in order to eat) unless you are hungry;
2.And, do not leave the (table of) food but you still have an appetite for it;
3.Chew (your food in your mouth) well;
4.And, when you want to go to bed, (primarily) go to the water-closet to ease nature.
If you take these in action, you will be in no need of any medical treatment."
Wasa'il-ush Shi'ah, vol. 24, p. 245

You the servants of Allah, are the ones to maintain His injunctions and prohibitions, and the carriers of His religion, and His revelation, and the trustees of Allah upon your souls, and the propagators of His religion among the other nations.

Re: Hadith-a-day
*sorry for the poor quality of the translation*
Rasool Allah (saww) has said:
Who ever does istighfar 70 times after the Asr prayer, Allah (swt) will forgive 700 of his sins on that day, and if he has no sins then Allah (swt) will forgive his father's, if he doesnt have any then his mother's, if she has none then his brother's, if he has none then his sister's and if his sister has none then Allah (swt) will forgive the sins of those who are closest to him after his father, mother, brother and sister.
This one is particularly hard to translate as it sounds weird in english. Even in arabic I was confused, had to get my dad to explain it:
روي عن الإمام الصادق (عليه السلام) : إن في جهنم لوادياً للمتكبّرين يُقال له سقر ، شكا إلى الله شدّة حرّه وسأله أن يتنفّس ، فأذن له فتنفّس فأحرق جهنم
Imam Al Sadiq (as) has said:
In Hell there is a place for the arrogant people called Saqar. Saqar complained to Allah (swt) from the heat of itself and asked Allah (swt) to allow it to breathe. His breath burn our the whole of Hell.
